Node.js is an open-source runtime that runs JavaScript server-side using Chrome's V8 engine. Its asynchronous, event-driven architecture delivers outstanding performance in applications requiring high concurrency - especially real-time APIs, webhook handlers and streaming services.
At Detartech we use Node.js particularly in TypeScript monorepos and full-stack JavaScript projects. We build enterprise-grade extensible APIs with NestJS, and lightweight microservices and BFF (Backend for Frontend) layers with Express/Fastify. We provide type-safe database access with Prisma or Drizzle ORM.
