Deep Dive
Why Google Search Console Is the Fundamental Tool for Every Project
Google Search Console (GSC) is the official, free platform that shows how a website interacts with the Google search ecosystem. The primary "source of truth" for SEO work, GSC provides first-hand data that third-party tools only estimate, giving precision to analysis processes.
The key data GSC provides: which pages are indexed by Google and which are excluded from indexing; which positions pages appear for specific queries and their click-through rates; Core Web Vitals field data; structured data errors; mobile usability issues; and sitemap processing status.
How We Use GSC on SEO Projects
At the start of every new project, we complete GSC property verification and XML sitemap submission. In weekly performance reports, we monitor impressions and CTR trends, making decisions on content or technical intervention for declining pages. We use the URL Inspection tool to check individual page indexing status and manage re-indexing requests.
GSC is especially indispensable for multilingual hreflang projects to detect language-region matching errors. After structural changes (domain migrations, URL structure revisions), we track how quickly Google adopts the new structure through GSC.
