Mobile Development with React Native
React Native is an open-source framework developed by Meta that enables building real native mobile applications using JavaScript/TypeScript. Unlike Flutter's own rendering engine, React Native uses the platform's native UI components, providing a more "native-feeling" experience on both iOS and Android.
At Detartech we favour React Native particularly when an existing web React team also needs to contribute to a mobile project. Shared business logic, API layer and type definitions meaningfully shorten the development cycle. We standardise file-based navigation with Expo Router, data management with React Query, and state management with Zustand or Redux Toolkit.
Expo Ecosystem
The Expo SDK provides JavaScript APIs for native features such as camera, push notifications, location services, biometric authentication and in-app purchases. We configure CI/CD pipelines with EAS (Expo Application Services) and deliver critical fixes to users via OTA (over-the-air) updates without waiting for store review cycles.
